I think its a bug too... In testing I've noticed not only that memory bug, but you can log back in with all your gear still on and in your corpse.

1) EQ dupe bug was an ancient copy-over related bug that was reported post 3.63 release and has since been fixed, the fix is in the post that Liko started over on mudbytes and is also in the SVN.

2) With regards to the mob memory issue, I have seen in the past where a character would die and then repop where he had died and then be re-attacked by the mobile. I have yet to stumble across the cause of this as I have also been unable to reproduce it. If anyway can figure out how to make this bug happen then I will gladly bring down the hammer on it.

its just an idea, it might have to do with using aoe like earthquake

the last person who gets the killing blow on you is the forget() vict, so i'm asuming everyone except the person who smashed your face in is going to remember you

just a guess, i'll have to poke around
