Question Quest Point Auctions

I would like to create a system where players could use quest points to bid on special items. I was thinking of having an auctioneer mob who would handle this. What would be the best way to tackle this problem? Could this be done using triggers, or would I have to make a new code snippet?

It would depend on your auction system. The one I'm planning to use all I would have to do is add either 'bid 10 quest' or 'bid 10 gold' make the 3rd argument to check for quest points or gold. I would do this in code and not a trigger.
