For the record. I've downloaded 'tbamud-2020.tgz' from Google Drive onto a RaspberryPi Model 3B, not B+, and it compiles and runs successfully.

Perhaps OP has a corrupted world file? Can you compile and run a previous version of tbamud?

I reloaded my raspberry pi model 3b with the latest 64 bit image as before it was using a 32 bit image and recompiled the tbamud code and now things work just fine. Not sure if this is another raspberry pi bug but I noticed that sometimes the first player at level 34 can be killed by mobs.

Make sure you "restore self" and turn on "holylight". Restore will make sure you are set to max health, etc. And holylight will make sure mobs don't aggro you.

This is a problem with a pointer referencing the wrong memory location. The fix can be found here:

Is there some way that the memory location issue can be added into the code so that if a user compiles it on the raspberry pi it would not crash on the 32 bit version?

I think we may be able to do that, yes.
