Question Using Geany and Git

I was wondering if anyone here has any experience using Git with the Geany text editor. I installed and activated the GeanyVC plugin, but on the VCS menu, all the options are grayed out. I also tried to set Geany as my default Git editor using "git config --global core.editor "geany". Any advice?

Have never used Geany, what are you running it on? It looks like Windows isn't fully supported yet.

I was trying to do this on Debian.
