Hey everyone,

I just wanted to give a shoutout and thanks to TBA and others, for because of you not only do players get great help
with development, but now and again an amazing builder will be discovered. Leri (Elora) has been around the scene for a long time, and it shows. She has been working with me on Darklands for the last week or so, and she is talented for sure. Her descriptions are crisp, and her e-desc's are amazing as well. If you are fortunate enough to have a good builder on your team, make sure they know they are appreciated. Having a unique and well written selection of areas is crucial for any aspiring mud. Below I have just a small example of Leri's work. Hope this inspires other builders to take advantage of edesc's, especially if you are leaning more towards RP.

[ 2024] The Base of a Tower [ INDOORS ]
This small circular space is enclosed on all sides by massive stone walls.
Steep stairs made from crudely cut stone travel upward in a steep spiral,
granting access to the upper levels of the tower. The air is dry and heavy with
dust, and the only source of light is what manages to filter down from above.
The monotiny of the stone walls is broken to the east where a simple wooden door
rises.
[ Exits: (e) u ]

(Using 'Look Around' Command)

Looking more closely you realize some things may require closer inspection.

The simple wooden door

The stone staircase

The stone walls

(Look door)

This arched wooden door is simple in design. It has a smooth surface and an
iron handle.

(Look staircase)

Roughly cut slabs of rectangular stone make up a steep passageway up through
the tower.

(Look walls)

The stone walls are made from rectangular cuts of dark stone, which seems to
shimmer faintly when light hits it from the right angle.

This is only a small part of any good zone, but combined with unique scripts and engaging gameplay there's no limit.

Basically this blurb is saying thanks to not only the development community here, but to the builders that take us
on our journey.

Peace

-Hal
