As I have said in other postings, I am working on a MUD for my son's friends to play. They have never played a MUD. It uses some stock TBA worlds and in testing the MUD, I come across a number of places where I do not understand the intent of the original implementer.
For example, In 28.wld (Mudschool). The first room tells you how to get a purse with some coins. The next room (shop) tells you to buy a whip, a cloak and a canteen. However, the coins you got in the previous room are not enought to buy all these items. A later room just before the room with the pig, tells you to put on the two cloaks, when you where only told to buy one
So I am not sure what the original implementer intents was in these instructions.
Note that this is just one example. I have others.
So my question is:
1: Do we just leave it up to a "new" builder (such as myself) to just change the world to what makes sense for their MUD.
2: Post here and see what other members think.
I think that number 1 is the correct answer.
