Reading your explanation, I succeeded in composing, thank you!

Can you explain how to compile files in the UTIL directory as well?

Oh, and when I compile on MSVS 2019,
When I used the conf.h.win file, I had some errors, so I used it to compile the conf.h.msvs file.

Thanks for trying and commenting on my instructions. Using the msvs file makes more sense than the win file but because the win file worked for me, I kept it in the instructions. I added yours because it's more likely to work for more people than mine. Thanks!

It's been a while so I don't remember about the UTIL directory but it has never seemed to make a difference to me. You can try to add them into your msvs manually. If you were asking because of webster, that's a whole different problem. Before I lost my coder, he apparently did a lot of work on it and it worked on his copy but I just stay away from it. I don't even know if it works in newer versions.

the webster file has never and probably never will work on windows. its depending on a system call to a linux binary and uses *nix sockets for communication.
