Question Why doesn't the academy mud server work?

I found the academy through Google. The first page says to meet up with you guys here: tbamud.com 9091

So I connected, I get a title screen, and the responsiveness is slower than dirt. The connection times out after asking "By what name do you wish to be known?

That isn't my experience. I log on, immediately get shown the login screen and I can type my name and log in just fine.

Which client are you using?
