Run command - request was created by JTP
Hi, If Anyone knows How to...

Then it would be cool If tbamud had a run command. Instead of typing lets Say w 15 times to get to the end of that Way, just type run w and it would takes you as far as there is to the West.

Would make exploring alittle easier. I have no idea How to make such a command that Can check How far its possible to run, so maybe someone else Can.

While running the char should still fast see the room descs.

And it there is a DT on the Way they Ofc dies.

Sounds like a job for a new event.

Have the run command create the new event and when it triggers it moves the player once in the desired direction. If there is no exit it cancels. Otherwise it re-queues itself and fires again in a couple of seconds.

What is wrong in line 1726 ?
Code:
exitdata = (real_room(ch->in_room)->dir_option[keyno]); <<--Line 1726 if((exitdata->to_room)==(ch->in_room)) { send_to_char(ch, "To run in that direction seems pointless.\r\n"); return; } act.movement.c: In function ‘do_run’: act.movement.c:1726: error: invalid type argument of ‘->’

Hmm i think i just made a run command :)))))

used world instead of real_room and some IN_ROOM(ch) instead of ch->in_room

seems to be working, will do some testing
