Coincidentally, I have had a request from a friend for some sort of offline building (tools to use at work on his lunchbreak when no wifi was available, sorta thing).
As Rumble said, the demand is certainly little to none.
The only platform I'd imagine it would be worthwhile for (if at all) would be Windows.
UNIX users are more likely to be willing to fiddle around with whatever minimal troubleshooting may be needed to get tbaMUD installed locally.
People who would be less tech savvy and possibly have a need for offline tools would most certainly be Windows users, because installing on a Windows machine can be a little bit finicky.
It might be a fun project for someone to do, but that's one more project that would require quite a bit of maintenance to keep up with MSVC updates.
I'd be willing to delve into it for my friend if I were convinced he'd actually finish something of quality, hehe.
