Is there any easy way to add a text file as a new help file?

How do you mean? Instead of the current help file? How do you want it to be accessed?

I wrote a file named formula using vim, and i want it to become an in game help file.

help formula would print my file.

There is no tools,
no import in hedit?

I tried to add my formula.hlp in lib/text/help, add it to index and reboot,
but without success. I tried adding needed code:
#0
FORMULA

#0
$~

but, it doesn't works.

So, how to you add a text file, into the in game "help topic" ?

Update: I've had a sleepless night. But I just tried adding an entry and my answer was way off. Please ignore.

Perhaps you can use your mudding client. Parna first tipped me off a feature she used in her client to echo text into an active editor when she was building. I use tt++ so to achieve a similar effect I use the command #textin {/path/file} {delay in seconds} to upload descriptions and such into a text editor. If hedit drops you into a text editor then I don't see why you couldn't do something similar.

Thanks Krell,

You gave me an idea.

I just did a whole cut and paste into the hedit editor... it did it.

I should had thought about it earlier..
It's just that i was used to add new files in circle mud.
IIRC circle mud had files for each "help topic".
TBA mud use something that look like more a database.

Thanks
